MIS. CAPABILITIES
Allen Industries, Inc. uses "Symix", an integrated manufacturing and accounting ERP system. Symix is written in "Progress", a 4GL relational database language. Our two manufacturing facilities are using Symix, which allows us to be flexible in how we handle customer requests. Our facilities are connected over a wide area network (WAN) using NT servers and Microsoft Exchange for e-mail. We use an Access database through ordering and permitting and the Symix database from manu-facture through install. Allen is able to set up and maintain a live web site, for Updated progress reports.

NEW TECHNOLOGY
As our industry changes, so must we. With the recent implementation of light emitting diodes (LED's) into certain sign types, we utilize multiple suppliers to meet our clients interests.
