Darden Restaurants, owner of a variety of full-service dining restaurants including Olive Garden Italian Kitchen, has retained Allen Industries to help update and re-image Olive Garden’s 836 locations. Using a two-dimensional logo image provided by Olive Garden, Allen’s designers first created an electronic rendering, then built a physical prototype that demonstrated how the sign would look during the day and at night.
Thus far, several test sites have been converted to the new look, which in addition to refreshing indoor and outdoor signage includes building elements such as outdoor awnings and fascia. The new image will be tweaked as necessary based on customer response and eventually applied to all Olive Garden restaurants. Allen’s outstanding project management team works with Olive Garden to adapt the look in an appealing way that meets each municipality’s sign and zoning ordinances.
